I. Introduction There is a general consensus regarding the need to protect consumers by providing them with accurate information about products. European Food Law knows established and sector-specific rules which determine the labelling, the advertisement and the presentation of food. The question to be asked is whether these provisions are sufficient or whether there are simply too many and these too confusing.
