Another purpose that will be achieved in this study is to improve the welfare of farmers and producers of Gedong Gincu Mango through thFe protection of Geographical Indications. The research methods used are normative juridical and socio-legal studies through observation of social conditions that occur in the community producing Gedong Gincu Mango, then analysed based on various geographical indication provisions in the National Law that are currently in force. The strategy of registering the Geographical Indication of Gedong Gincu Mango under the name Indramayu Cimanuk Gedong Gincu Mango is to protect the interests of all Gedong Gincu Mango farmers and producers in Indramayu. This Protection of Geographical Indications is expected to achieve economic benefits and improve the welfare of local communities.
