I. Introduction Regulation (EC) No. 178/20021 on general principles and requirements of food law provides a legal framework for food and feed within the European Community. It introduces a new safety approach for food and feed from farm to table covering all sectors of the food chain, including feed production, primary production, food processing, storage, transport and retail sale. It does not apply to primary production for private domestic use
