Austria Practical Application of Art 14 (6) of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 – Presumption of “unsafe Batches” Art. 14 (6) of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 stipulates that, if any unsafe foodstuff is part of a batch, lot or consignment of foodstuff of the same class or description, it shall be presumed that all other foodstuffs of that batch, lot or consignment are also unsafe (in German: “Chargenvermutung”). The food company can refute that presum
