Denmark ∙ New Food Supplement Ruling Regarding the Requirement to Label the Amounts of Nutrients Based on an Analysis of the Product

Gundula Kjær

A recent ruling of the Danish Environment and Food Board of Appeal has favoured the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA) regarding the analysis requirement in Article 9(1) of the Food Supplement Directive. Only recently, the DVFA started to actively enforce the requirement mentioned in Article 9(1) of the Directive. The food business operators still have to get used to this rather new authority practice.
