Indeed, it is scientifically proven that some of these food supplements containing red yeast rice can benefit people suffering from hypercholesterolemia. Such products contain a specificmolecule calledMonacolin K. Thismolecule, also known as lovastatin, has the chemical characteristics of the substances of the statin family.

After a 17-year investigation into the mad cow crisis, the French Court has nearly concluded the case. Although this information was made public only in mid-April 2014, it was on 19 November 2013 that the Paris prosecutor's office requested a general dismissal of the case, after the judges asked its opinion. Now, the judgesmust decide whether or not to grant the request.
